I love Polaroid

29 Sep

Beautiful Amsterdam in Spring

Though I’m working in photography business, I do everything else but clicking the shutter. I don’t have the patience to compose and choose settings. Hence the quality of photos you see here is either taken from my Blackberry or Canon point-and-shoot unless stated otherwise. I love my Polaroid. It makes me happy and I love the ‘instant magic photo’ effect on the kids especially. My 1st Polaroid was purchased from Bukit Bintang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur but the price of the cartridge of 10 photos increased from RM45 to RM50 each. The supply was limited too.

This year my hubby got me the Fuji Instax Mini 7 for my birthday and I’m back. I normally buy the cartridge of 10 photos from Photo Crafts in Sunway Pyramid at RM28 each. I love clipping the pictures on the wall and giving them away as momento to my family and friends. What do you do with your instant photos?

My virtual office for the past 3 days

This is my virtual office for the past 3 days, Marriots Hotel Putrajaya. They’ve got nice greenery outside the main ballroom for you to enjoy your freshly brewed coffee (in my case I prefer cappuccino) or hot honey lemon tea. Unfortunately they didn’t have decaf coffee for me. Watch out for those mozzies outdoor. Remember to park your car at the Square Carpark and not the hotel carpark if you do not want to walk a distance to get to the grand ballroom.

Ariffin Aris Visuals’ 1st free photography class will be held this Friday night at Setiawangsa Business Suites, Kuala Lumpur. It is something that we learnt in Berlin when we took on their Free Berlin City Foot tour. The response of the free photography class has been overwhelming and we have a full-confirmed attendance after a few days it was announced.  There will be another one scheduled to be on the 14th October while the paid class will be on the 22nd October. The free photography class will be covering some basics such as the difference between a point-and-shoot camera and an SLR camera, lightings and selection of aperture and shutter speed. The paid class next month will be the basics of Underwater Photography! My favourite whenever it comes to contact with water. Please leave a comment below if you are interested to join any of the classes and let me know what are the topics you want to be covered in future classes. Where and when would be convenient for you?
